Note 7 refund

What is the refund procedure for those who had note 7s?

 

I had a note 7 for about 3 and a half months. When i returned it i phoned up to check it had been received.

I was told by the lady in the returns department that i would get a full refund for everything i had paid while i had the note 7. She transferred me to billing for it to be arranged.

The guy there was confused. Not knowing anything about note 7 refunds.

He then did see a note and said i will get a full refund paid into my bank within 5 working days.

That was 2 weeks ago. I phoned up today and the lady i spoke to knew nothing about a refund.

What should i expect?

When you rang and they didn't have an answer how did the call end ? What was arranged ?

 

If this was my situation I'd ring back and possibly the next agent will have more knowledge.

The person i spoke to said she had put in a request to listen to the audio recording of the conversation I had with the agent after i was transferred.

Which can take up to 5 working days.

Can I ask did the Returns Department confirm the Note 7 had been received?

Yes. That was the reason i phoned on that day.

I'm confused on why they'd need to listen back to a call. Plus not all calls are recorded and those that are recorded are usually retained for 60 days. 

 

If vodafone returns Department have confirmed the phone has been received then imo they should be now dealing with the process. This should be escalated to a supervisor or managef to clarify what will happen and when. 

 

I would give them the timeframe mentioned and then proceed from there if nothing is resolved.

She said she could not find any mention of a refund. id been on the phone for 30 minutes at this point so i accepted what she said and got off the phone.

Take a look through the various Note 7 posts and you will see that you get a different response each time you call. Best advice is to call the consumer helpline they will explain what Vodafone must offer, then follow the advice of the Omburdsman. Vodafone are legally liable and eventually will meet their obligations, you may be surprised how successful you can be

I returned mine eventually in December and I'll be honest I never expected a refund for the period I'd been using the phone, because I'd been using it.

Of course they cancelled my contract and they refunded the upfront charge, the fee for signing up to the Vodafone Advantage discount scheme and agreed to provide an account credit for the amount I'd spent on redundant accessories.

Why are you expecting a refund for everything?
