Sure signal not connecting with new phone

I've recently changed my phone from an iPhone 4s to a one plus x. I've updated my sim via the Vodafone website and have normal network connection and Internet but the new phone will not get a 3g signal from the sure signal box. I've tried turning off and on again. Other phones connected to the sure signal have no problems! Also tried phoning support but after an age on hold I had to give up. Am not able to re-register my number to the sure signal on the website as my number is the primary registered number! Just wondering if anyone else had experienced this and has a workaround?

The advice in these threads are to de register and then wait 6 hours or 24 hours before re registering.

Surely, Vodafone official people, it would make sense to build some functionality to fix this rather than have a pretty crude workaround as the only way to resolve this issue for people?!
