Vodafone Smart Ultra 6 SD card won't mount and settings are greyed out

I am unable to mount the SD card, all was OK untill a few weeks ago when Facebook was mysteriously could not be installed on the phone.

 

I have changed the SD card, no effect

I have factory reset the phone and set it up as a new user, no effect

 

I'm well and truly fed up now, have seen some fixes that require root, setting root on the Smart Ultra 6 seems to be an impossibility.

 

Any other users had a similar issue and managed to resolve it?

Hi @cristaki

 

 

Yes I remember when there was an issue with Facebook but that shouldn't have affected the connection between phone and SD Card IMO. 

 

Regarding Rooting this shouldn't be taken lightly and some homework on Pro's and Con's in doing so. I don't Root by do JailBreak. 

 

I would suggest popping into a Vodafone Highstreet Store and let them take a look and if necessary send the phone away to be looked at. 

 

If on an eligible tariff / contract they could offer a Loan phone if they have one in stock.
