Why can't I change the storage settings for the camera on my vodafone prime smart 6 to micro SD card?? This is really frustrating as if it's set to true HD the internal storage fills up after a couple minutes so you have to stop, go to storage cut and paste the file to your externek SD then start recording again!! Please update

@ancojo - I don’t currently have a Smart Prime 6 to check, but from what I can find, it’s not possible to save pictures directly to the SD card. You could try using a different camera app, as you may find one that allows this.

To view the pictures, you can either click ‘Gallery’, or ‘File manager’ (Application tab > File Manager).

Or, as an alternative, you could manually copy the photos across to a folder on the SD card - the file manager on the device will allow you to do this.

Sounds like a reasonable request to me.

In theory this is a good idea but in practice not so good!! To do this you need to make sure the video doesn't exceed the remaining memory avialiable on the pitiful I internal storage, which is mostly taken up by apps and updates that can't be copied to your SD card, your left with about 1gb but as you can shoot video in true HD it doesn't take long to fill, so if your recording a family avent, you have to stop recording then go to setting cut and paste it to your SD which can take a few minutes?? Then hope that you haven't missed the event by the time you start recording again??? So frustrating

You could try a different camera app like Camera MX, I think it's free on Google Play. The application itself allows you to choose where your images/video are stored, but there's no way of knowing if that option will work on your phone or not. If it's a no go then just delete it.

IIRC the vodafone prime smart 6 runs Android 5.0 (lollipop) which has a slight alteration to the source code from Kit Kat, whereby some 3rd party camera applications will ask where you want to store your images when you snap a picky.

Awesome news @StevenSimmySimm

Can you say what the update was called ?

How did you do the update. I can't find the option on my phone, just an option to install apps I don;'t want.

Just found Software updates and it is set to do them automatically. I asked for an update and it says it is up to date already with 5.0.2/130FCN1

but I still have nowhere on this phone where I can tell it so save photos to SD card !

@joywasere - Go into file manager and press the option to move to SD card. The manual gives you all the details needed.
