My mobile is unable to use uk services such as bbc and search results come up relevant to USA I did a check on my IP address and it shows as New York
I have a nord vpn and that is set to uk
ive turned it off but that makes no difference
google is set to uk and shows my correct location
i am using a sim from smarty and an esim from Vodafone
I am running out of ideas so any help would be great full before I cancel my contract
I am also getting random people saying I have phoned them sometimes from Italy and Germany as well as uk. They are using call back but my phone doesn’t show me calling them
not sure if these are 2 separate issues
Tony

I also use a VPN and have it set to UK. However, some services detect that and won't speak to you - BBC iPlayer doesn't download, for instance. For things like that, you may find you either need to turn the VPN off or set a bypass exception.

I don't know smarty, but what happens if you take that SIM out? I'm just wondering whether that's somehow taking precedence and resolving to the US? This isn't something I've ever heard of in relation to the Vodafone network, which is solidly UK-based.

In the initial message I did say I’ve turned it off and it made no difference

As this is primarily a peer to peer forum, please bear in mind that that people are sharing thoughts which they believe may be beneficial.
As you clearly require Vodafone to look into this then you'll see from the moderator post above, the best advice is for you to reach out to customer care as suggested.
Good luck.

I presume that means it's resolved? If so, can you tell us what the answer was, for future reference?

Hi @Tonytibbs That is strange! We'll definitely need to take a closer look at this for you. I'd recommend dropping our Social media team a message here, so that we can investigate further.

Hi @Tonytibbs
It might be worth speaking to NordVPN about this problem, there is a Customer Service contact here: Internet shows a different server location
As far as still having the same issue after deleting the application is concerned, you may need to do a factory reset of the phone to clear out any bugs.
