Vodafone lost my number after a number port.

Hi all, hoping someone can help. 2 weeks ago I switched from Ee to Vodafone and arranged for a number port and I have had no number since. Every time I call they tell me to wait longer. I lost 3 days from work as I was not able to authenticate, my whole life is tied to that number and nobody seems to want to help.

Its's a strange one for sure @paul_barfield it should be a simple procedure and two weeks is more than enough time to get your number ported over to the network.  It sounds like you have already contacted the Porting Team and they should have raised this with EE on your behalf.

 

Drop the Social Team a message through social channels and they will be able to get this investigated with the Porting Team, the Team can be contacted by following the information on this link: Contact Us

This does sound like a nightmare. 

The gaining provider (so in your case Vodafone) should be owning this for you. They have dedicated porting teams who work on issues like this. 

Between them and the losing provider, they'll be able to get this resolved for you. 

It does sound though (from your words) that there is a lack of ownership here. Someone should be case managing and keeping you in the loop. If this is not happening. You need to escalate.
