Xperia 5 text over wi-fi calling

• I see some phones now have text over wi-fi calling working. When can I expect my Xperia 5 (not the II model) to start working please?

The information on this appears to be limited at the moment.   Do you have wifi calling at all?   This is very much make/model dependent, but I certainly wasn't aware that it was possible to have calling without SMS and haven't seen this mentioned before.

I have wi-fi calling working, but Vodafone has only recently started to roll out an associated text capability that has been available through the likes of EE for some time. I just would like to know if and when it will be available on the Xperia 5 please.

Hi @IanBa 👋 You are right, text over WiFi is in the early stages of rolling out and currently some devices are working with this. We don`t have any timescales yet however once we do I will do my best to update the thread. Once this has officially launched I would expect the WiFi Calling page here to be updated with more details 😊
