moving and no mobile signal

I am moving to an area that does not receive a vodafone mobile signal.  I will therfore unfortunatelt need to move to another provider.  Do i still need to pay an early redemption fee?

30 day pay monthly - but can't upgrade for 90 days!

Just spent over 90 minutes on chat to be told that because I have had my 30 day contract SIM for less than 90 days I can't upgrade - for "secuirty reasons"! Any idea what these security reasons might be? Is this even legal?
