Paid for 6GB data, getting 1GB

I am a new Vodafone customer having taken out a new contract on back friday. The package I bought was supposed to have 6GB data but instead my account shows 1GB. I have tried to solive this on online chat and by ringing 191. Online chat was useless and could not help. On ringing 191 they said it was "a known problem" and it would be fixed. This was days ago now and I've still only got 1GB and am about to approach my 1GB limit. Is anyone else having this issue and pulling their hair out with Vodafone customer services. Not a great start to my 2 year contract....

I am having the same issues. Took out black Friday deal and only getting 1gb instead of 6gb

Glad to report that having finally been successful at getting the agreed 6GB data allowance set up on my account on 01.01.17, my bill has been produced and appears to be correct - I'm being charged the agreed rate of £21 per month. Hopefully this will remain the case for duration of the contract and I won't have any more problems!

I tried that already before I posted on here. No joy they have no records on their system. Told me to get back to carphonewarehouse to sort it out.

To all I now have 6gb of Internet! No thanks at all to the tech team on here who were able to do nothing for me. So it has taken nearly 6 weeks, 5 online chats, 7 phone calls to vodafone customer services to sort. What eventually sorted it was making a complaint over the phone. They promised to ring me back 48 hours later at the latest. 7 days later I received a call with the their convoluted way of fixing the data issue. Absolutely no sign of an apology or compensation for my wasted time and their inability to keep promises of fixing within their own time frames. I also filled in their online complaint form that has a promise to contact you within 48 hours. 2 weeks later and still waiting. I 100% recommend any potential customer stays clear of vodafone.

I noted this "The communications giant says the Ofcom ruling, which comes after the conclusion of two probes, caps off an "unhappy episode". Ofcom has fined Vodafone £4.6m over a series of failures in its UK business, including its handling of customer complaints."

Clearly no learnt lessons then....

@Pilswort has the 6GB been updated on your account? I was told I now have 6GB of data and it would be visible on my account within 24 hours. I was then given 2GB of data as 'Compensation' that i could use immediatley.

 

That was a week ago, the 6GB still hasnt appeared on my account. Think i'll try what you've done and make a complaint.

Yes it showed up on my account almost immediately. They offered me 2gb "compensation" once. I tried to explain that it isnt compensation if it's still 3gb less than my contact states..... hopeless.

My exact response, the "compensation" is still less than what I'm paying for!

I've just been on the phone to customer services, there's been absolutely no change to my account I'm still on 1GB despite live chat saying they had sorted the issue a week ago. Here i was foolishly thinking the 6GB would show up on my account or next billing date. I've saved a copy of the conversation and plan to take this further.

I'm sorry you're having a problem with the data added to your account. The amount of data you're entitled to may not update on the My Vodafone app untill your next bill is produced. You can wait until your next bill is produced and your app will show your up to date entitilement.
