I'm in the same position. Already have a post open on here but moderator has stopped responding. Ours were meant to be ordered - weren't. Ordered in store. Waiting 6 weeks - now told discontinued. Got a reply from @Natasha but contact form doesn't seem to be working - not getting any acknowledgment from the form - posted this on my post too and now nothing. I'm not holding my breath. Is it too difficult to offer an alternative gift seeing as the vr's are now discontinued?

Right, after 2 live chats, 2 dropped calls to 191 and being put through to CS who hung up halfway through the conversation.
Being told I had to claim it from Samsung, being told I can go instore and collect one, at Samsung and / or Vodafone I finally have a definitive answer.
Called 191, took the option of leaving Voda so that i could talk to a human and got through to a brilliant assistant who took the time to listen to my tale, and then go off and find the answer for me. So here it is.

After taking out a new contract or upgrade, you have a 30 day cooling off period during which you can return the phone.
Therefore after that 30 day period you will receive a text with a link and a code to redeem in exchange for Samsung sending you the VR headset.
Obviously if they send one before hand you could return the phone and gain a free headset, this makes total sense BUT it would have been nice to have been told at the time to avoid all this hassle.
And not one of the people I spoke/live chatted to said "oh you only upgraded on the 22nd, you have to wait 30 days"
So many thanks to George (female) in the retention department who went above and beyond to get me an answer that nobody else seemed to know or care about.

Just received the following text.

"Thank you for calling Vodafone today.
This is to confirm that we have spoke about how you claim your VR headset.

In the next 30 days you will recieve a text message with a code provided and a link of the samsung website where you can claim your headset.

I hope you are happy with the customer service you recieved from myself today and I would like to thank you for staying with vodafone.

You will shortly be receiving a series of texts about the call you made to Vodafone today we would appreciate your feedback.
Thank you for speaking to Georgia.
Vodafone Retention Team"

Georgia deserves a pay rise in my eyes, took ownership of the problem and wouldn't let it go until she found the answer for me, the way customer service should be.👍

We're glad to hear that everyone's now got the correct information regarding their Gear VR's.

The deal for this is directly through Vodafone and not Samsung themselves.

If anyone else encounters any issues in the future, please don't hesitate to let us know. We'll be happy to help.

@Becca_P does that mean the information @fangface666 has been given is incorrect? Do they need to contact Customer Services again?
