Hi Vodafone
My account has been closed on 7th January, final bill paid in February and £0 balance on account.
You are still reporting to credit reference agencies that the account is active, and not closed and Settled.
I have spoken with your customer service team online and by phone, and no one seems to understand what I'm talking about.
Please can someone help me from the Forum Team to get me in touch with the correct department to have my account 'closed and settled' with all credit reference agencies? Thanks.

Hi @robpierce5 👋 if you can get in touch with the team by clicking here and one of our credit team will be able to check over your account to make sure everything has been closed correctly.

I have contacted via Facebook a couple of days ago but no response at all, there's no point asking people to use these contacr channels if they will not get a response!

Same thing happening to me - haven't been with vodafone for years, but the account is still active on my credit score so is bringing it down. Please advise.

Quite normal @lalicoombes
All closed accounts will show on your credit report. according to Experian this will be for 10 years.

It doesn't show as "closed", it shows as "active" with a bill of £0 each month. I need to mark it as closed, as it is linked to my old address and is bring my score down.

It sounds like there was an error when your account was a cancelled @lalicoombes. As @AnnS advised, pop us a private message through one of our social channels and we'll be happy to get this corrected for you. When you get in touch, be sure to include your full name, a link to this thread, your Community ID and if you remember it, your Vodafone mobile/account number.

Same problem here! Account was closed years ago but still shows on my credit file every month linked to an old address (where I haven't lived for over 3 years).
Who am I best contacting to get this closed properly please? I remember calling several years ago and was told it was because I was due a refund, which I received, but the account is still showing as active.

If you send us a message using Social Media our team would love to take a look at your account and settle any old accounts as closed. You can find the contact details here, Just remember to include your Community username in the message 🙂
