Does anyone have any advice on how to terminate a contract due to service quality failures without paying termination fees? I'm at the end of my tether with Vodafone data being unusable in any busy place. My Three and O2 sims don't have this problem.
(NB: I can spare you the trouble of trying to diagnose a fault. I have done everything including swapping sims/devices, resetting, changing network settings etc. All the evidence suggests that it's the network that cannot cope with the traffic)

It's very unlikely that the contract will be cancelled due to congestion at a particular site. The nature of mobile technology means it's impossible to guarantee good speeds everwhere you go. I know it can be very frustrating to have slow speeds.
However sometimes there can be issues with the local mast or if it's purely a congestion issue sometimes optimisation can do some tweaks to improve the signal. My team in social media would be able to help you with this, if you'd like to reach out please follow this link

This is definitely not a problem at a particular site. I travel a lot. I've done nearly 2000 miles in the past week as far North as Scotland and as far East as Surrey. The same pattern emerges everywhere I go. I was blaming my devices for a long time because I didn't think Voda could be that bad but after a year of troubleshooting it has become very clear. Voda just cannot cope with congestion as well as the other networks.
Incidentally, Vodafone took away SureSignal meaning that I get no signal at home. The only reason I didn't choose EE or Three who do have signal here is because of SureSignal. I thought the withrawal of that should have been grounds enough for me to exit my contract early.
Oh and my broadband didn't work for most of the day yesterday.
From where I'm sitting Vodafone has gone to the dogs and I've run out of patience. I just want the quickest way out.

I did a bit of googling this morning and it's not hard to find people complaining about slow Voda data compared to other networks. There's a lot of Virgin Media customers complaining about poor data after they were moved to Vodafone from EE. And this thread on the VM forum even contains some side-by-side comparison data showing Three is ten times faster in central London - which is exactly my experience. With this amount of evidence it's going to be hard for Voda to argue they are not failing?

Still no broadband here. So I'm in a nearby village that I know has a 4G mast that I have speed tested between 40-60mbps before.
Right now Vodafone is running at 1.04mbps according to Speedtest.net.

So once again I have to rely on another provider because Vodafone is not providing a usable service.

The mods will likely remove your post content (like they did mine) because you praised a rival networks performance over their own. 😂
Do what I did and vote with your wallet. 👍

Alternatively do what I did - join their forum as a normal regular customer and then annoy them by regularly posting the truth rather than what Vodafone would have us believe. Then when they finally get fed up with this and ban your account from the forum, join up again from a different email address/user ID and continue to post such advice for another couple of years. Petty, I know, but hugely satisfying and SO much easier than trying to get them to take ownership of your issue !

Take your complaint to Ofcom. Vodaphone's call centre service staff are useless. They are often not native English speakers which means that issues do not get resolved because they can't understand the issue or answer questions. I have wasted 5 days trying to resolve issues. The staff don't care - culturally lazy or biased against customers. Move to a provider with UK only call centre staff.
